About Ayo Bankole Biography [Iya sheet music composer]
Ayo Bankole is a well-recognized music composer and organist. He was born in 1935 on May 17th and dead on November 6th, 1976 .
Ayo Bankole Early Life and Education
Ayo comes from a musical family. His Dad, “Theophilus Abiodun,” once played at St. Luke’s Anglican Church Jos as an Organist. And also, his Mum worked at Queen’s School, Ede, for several years as Music Instructor.
Ayo had studied music at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. He met Brian Edward Hurst, who was also a student there, and together they came up with an arrangement of “Children of the Sun.” The music was later performed in 1960 at Guildhall School.
Ayo Bankole Death
Ayo was announced dead in the year 1976. His half-brother brutally murdered him at the age of 41 years old.
