Edvard Grieg Biography [In the Hall of the Mountain King sheet music composer]
Edvard Grieg was named Edvard Hagerup Grieg from birth. He’s a well-known Norwegian pianist and music composer. Edvard is a well-recognized Romantic music composer, and his works are well-known as standard classical internationally. He is also known for his composition of Norwegian folk music, which brought Norway music recognized worldwide.
Edvard helped expand Norwegian romantic nationalism as Julius Christian Sibelius did in the Republic of Finland.
Grieg is the most musician to be celebrated, with multiple statuses representing his image. Several cultural institutions were named after him, such as the most prominent concert building, “Grieg Hall.” The hall resides on Edvard Grieg’s Square in Bergen and has 1,500 seats. A music school, “Grieg Academy,” refers to Bergen’s higher education music programs. Also, Grieg’s former building, TROLDHAUGEN, was also named Edvard Grieg Museum.
Early Life & Death
Edvard was born in the year 1843 on June 15th in Bergen. His father “Alexander Grieg” was the British Vice Consul and a merchant in Bergen (1806 – 1875). His mother “Gesine Judithe Hagerup” was a daughter of a politician, “Edvard Hagerup,” and solicitor (1814 – 1875).
Edvard was born into a music family, while his mother was the first music teacher to train him how to play at the age of Six. Grieg has undergone several high schools, which included Tank Upper Secondary School in Bergen, Norway.

Edvard was announced dead on September 4th, 1907, at 64. He gave up on Ghost at the Municipal Hospital in Bergen from heart failure.
