A short history about Dodimu Music By Yemi Akinpelu
Dodimu music is Yoruba choral music composed by a well-known composer. He Lecture music, choirmaster, Music director, and organist Yemi Akinpelu. This music has been performed by many choirs all over the world.
Despite that, the music is written in Nigeria Language “Yoruba.” Many churches in Nigeria as rendered the music as the choral anthem. It’s one of the most performed Yoruba anthems in Nigeria today after Messiah Babami and Ibike music sheet.
Yemi Akinpelu Biography [Dodimu music sheet composer]
Yemi Akinpelu is a Graduate student of Obafemi Awolowo Ile Ife from the Department of Music, studying Piano performance. He later lectured at Alvan Ikoku College of Education in the city of Owerri, Imo state. And also at Osun state college of Education Ilesa [OSCOED] both in the Department of Music.
He as worked as Choirmaster and organist at The Cathedral of Holy Trinity Church Omofe Ilesa in Osun state. Yemi as worked as Choirmaster at Blood of Jesus Apostolic International Church.
